Ever wondered what I did before I became a writer?  No?  Well, now you don't have to, because here's a list.

I've been (in no particular order):

            —a college tutor

            —a laboratory analyst 

            —an endangered species researcher (internship, National Biological Survey)

            —a truck stop dishwasher

            —a painter (think drywall, not canvasses)

            —a blast furnace laborer

            —a waiter at Applebees (only job I was ever fired from)

            —a steel mill chem tech.

            —a research volunteer at the Field Museum (one semester in college)

—homeless but never jobless

—a stage actor in New York City

—several of the above simultaneously

—a zookeeper

—an altar boy

—sucker punched

—a laboratory research drone in the steel industry
